Re: Cable for FTDX10 + Z11-Pro 2
did you go into the operation settings and change the internal tuner settings?? Dave Garber VE3WEJ / VE3IE On Wed, Mar 8, 2023 at 8:42?PM JeffH - W4JEW <jeff@...> wrote: Hello, |
Re: Cable for FTDX10 + Z11-Pro 2
Hello,
I'm back with some additional questions about EXPECTED behavior vs ACTUAL behavior. I built the cable I shared the schematics for a few weeks ago. I thought it was working properly, but I'm starting to question myself and whether or not the cable I built is working as it should be. My friend just bought an AT200ProII tuner. We were reading through the documentation, which covers using a cable between the tuner and the radio for Icom and Yaesu radios. We both have FT-DX10 transceivers - the only difference is he's running the AT200ProII, and I'm running a Z11ProII.? Whenever we pressed the Tuner button on the front of the DX10, we thought it initiated a tuning cycle on the LDG. I just moved the tuner away from the DX10 and tried using the Tuner button, and I can clearly hear the tuner relays inside the DX10 running. And yes - we both have the External tuner option selected in the DX10 menu - and the radios have been restarted (multiple times). The documentation states: "A tuning cycle on the AT-100ProII is initiated from either the Tune button on the front of the AT-100ProII, an over-SWR condition when in fully automatic tuning mode, or from pressing the TUNER/CALL button on the front of an ICOM radio connected using the ICOM interface cable." "If you are using the ICOM or Yaesu interface cable, your radio will automatically reduce power, switch to CW mode, and transmit for as long as is needed to complete the tuning cycle, and then will return to the previous operating mode and power level when done.?" If I am interpreting this correctly, it's implying that using the Tuner button on an Icom radio will initiate a tuning cycle on the LDG tuner but pushing the tuner button on a Yaesu radio will not initiate a tuning cycle on the LDG. That being said, the benefit of using the cable between a Yaesu radio and an LDG tuner is that you don't need to reduce power or change to AM/CW mode. I'm unsure how to confirm if this is happening, though. Please help. Thank you, -JeffH |
Re: AT-100Pro
Yes the LDG tuners are not SDR, the firmware is in ROM or PROM, an IC. Many of their now on the market tuners have been around for a while and I am sure there have been some changes, but I dont LDG offers upgrades of their firmware.

Re: RT600 Calibration Procedure

I have an LDG 600 ProII. I had it in manual?mode which I had to retune everytime I changed bands. This worked well for me. Reading the service manual I learned how to put it in automatic mode. I did that and changed swr from 1.7 to 2.0. The rf activates the tuner. Unbelievable how good that works! Now I can work spots on 40 then go to 10 and do the same thing. It produces a full 600 watts on all frequencies. It works the complete 10 m band. BUT swr is what drives auto tune function... hope that helps Paul K3SF |
Re: RT600 Calibration Procedure

it is an original unit and with the board being worked on the bench, some of the controls on the PCBA might have been altered (unknown). Hence, if there is a procedure I would like to use it to calibrate and verify the correct functionality. It is being proactive since the tuner is opened and on the bench, that is the time to do it.?
If someone has the procedure, please let me know here or via direct messaging. Thank you, Gene |
Re: RT600 Calibration Procedure

I doubt that changing a relay would require recalibration.
At worst the unit has to have the memory cleared so that the attempts to tune with the correction switched in by the relay would be incorrect.? The software would assume the value of the correction in it's basic programming.? Even without clearing the memory at the next retune the solution would be stored for that frequency. JD KE4MD |

RT600 Calibration Procedure
#z-11
I have the RT600 remote tuner which I just replaced a burnt relay and would like to perform a calibration procedure prior to putting it back into service.
Can anyone provide me the calibration procedure for the RT600 or the RT100. I have seen a generic procedure in the files section but I prefer the one that addresses all adjustments on the circuit board assembly. Thank you, K5PA, Gene |
RC/RT-600 Memory Tune Oddity
I recently acquired an RC/RT-600 to replace an AT-600 ProII that I set up remote at the base of my flagpole antenna.? The AT-600 replaced and RT-100 in the same application.? With the RT-600, if I tune on a band, and transmit several times, it does a full tune on the first transmission and a memory tune on the subsequent transmissions.? If I change bands, tune there, and go back to the original band, it does a full tune on the first transmission.? Is this right?? If it is, why does the tuner need 2000 memories?

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýMemory tune on the LDG AT-897 Plus tuner is done by holding the TUNE button until the LED comes ON. ? Perhaps this is also possible on other LDG tuners. ? Perhaps not. ? (The AT-897 tuners were only compatible with the Yaesu FT-897/D transceivers). 73, Kent K9ZTV On Feb 21, 2023, at 4:01 PM, Steve_KE4LC <sfwright101@...> wrote:
