One issue with LDG tuners and Yaesu rigs is on some of the tuners the control cable switches the tip and inter ring connections.? They cross at the connector.? tip of one goes to inter ring of the other and the inter ring at the rig goes to the tip at the tuner.

If MENU 19 in the FT-897D is set to 4800 bps, and MENU 20 is set to CAT (not TUNER), then the problem probably lies with the cable.

Are you using the original DIN-8 cable supplied by LDG with the tuner? ?Make sure the pins aren't bent, the connections are fully seated, and the cable isn't damaged.

To further confuse things, the YT-100's both work fine with the FT-897's! I have checked, and re-checked all the settings.

So what's going on that the AT-897+ refuses to work with the FT-897's?

I have searched this groups message archives and have found nothing. I've been to LDG's webs site and it appear to have been stagnant for months(none of it's links, are pages, come up. I've also message LDG's support email but have received no response. Is the company still in business?
