Just turn on ATAS mode, QSY to your operating frequency, change to AM mode and set to 5W power, press PTT and up or down button at same?time, the RT-100 shall auto tune. Afterward, return to yr preferred ops mode to CQ. This is the way I operate the FT891. It shall work for FT10 I believe.

I use my FTDX10 with the LDG remote auto-tuner. I would like the "tune" button on the radio to trigger a low power CW signal to trigger the remote tuner to tune. Unlike conventional auto tuners sitting a few feet away from the radio, this tuner is 100 ft away. There is no interface cable between tuner and radio.
A clip of the FTDX10 schematic showing the tuner connector is attached. I think some pull-up or pull-down of one or more of these signals tells the radio that there is an external tuner attached and to to the low power CW thing. I am reluctant to just start driving some of these signals and hope that someone can guide me. I tried reverse engineering how other tuner/cable combos do this. But, it became guesswork
