Re: RC-600 Bias-T short circuit protection ?

Hi Al

nice idea
but
the complexity is due to the antenna MATRIX switch (WX0B design)... since it is a matrix (2x6) would need to have two sets and? system would need know which which one to use to feed the bias-t? on the other side......

That is why i decide install the bias-t on the coax line that is going directly out to the antenna after the matrix switch and to just power up the bias-t using remote control power plug...the matrix switch is 50ft away from the station just before all coax runs exit the house...antenna are, 8 el LPDA which is 100ft run and OCF which is 100 ft run, and the 43ft vertical where the RT600 will be located is 200ft run away....

The LPDA has shorting stub and OCF has balun both of which would be short circuits to the Bias-t...

i will be looking into the circuit of the matrix switch to see if i can pull off a 12vdc to power up bias-t when 43ft vertical is selected
it does lockout from both rigs try to access same antenna...first come first served logic...

thanks for the idea...
