ROLE
The
Controller position is a newly created role and will be primarily responsible for the organization¡¯s daily accounting operations and the accurate and timely reporting of financial information
for the company. ?Additional responsibilities include management of information technologies, insurance, tax submissions, financial controls, General Ledger management, AR/AP, loan requirements and payroll processes. ?The role will engage directly with all
other departments in the business i.e. Asset Management, Construction & Property Operations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the candidate will be responsible for providing analysis, hiring, training and/or managing additional accounting staff, and
reporting to the Executive team. ??

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Requires a bachelor¡¯s degree in accounting, Finance or other relevant field.?
-
7+ years of accounting experience; prior experience in Real Estate is a plus.?
-
CPA not essential but a plus.?

Strong understanding of best practices for financial reporting.?
-
Strong knowledge of financial and accounting systems functionality. ?
-
Advanced abilities in leadership, coaching, and teambuilding. ?
-
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with particular focus in MS Excel. ?Excel is important as we need quick efficient use of summarizing large data sets to communicate effectively to the business.
