I have a 2005 Lagoon 410 S2 owners version, with a hard bimini. I am going to add solar panels to the bimini and am looking for advice on running the wires to the batteries below. I hope to run the wires from the solar panels through the stainless pole support for the bimini, on the aft port side, so it would enter the aft port stateroom just about where the outside engine access (to pull the engine) would be. I'm looking for advice from any 410, or similar owners who have run the wires to your house bank, on the port side. Thanks

Greetings all One of our shore power battery chargers a has stopped working and after discussions with my Sparky I need to get another. My preference is for an original one. It is a Cristec CPS 12V 40A. Anyone know a good source for these? We are in NZ so freight may be an issue. Any pointers would be appreciated.

You can quickly estimate the wind speed quite accurately looking at the surface of the water. I am not sure why a wind speed indicator would be a critical item.

Well a big bird landed on my wind cups and broke one off. I was told there is a replacement kit for cups and wind vain but not found a compatible one for st70 at Amazon, Defenders, West Marine. Really really need to locate quickly as we are due to set sail, but not wanting to without a wind speed indicator.. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am thinking of replacing my max props (in need of serious reconditioning) with flexfold. Yachting magazine did a comparison of various folding and feathering props Folding and feathering propeller test and the flex props both 3 and 2 blade performed very well. Does anyone have experience with flex fold? I am thinking of the two blade because it is lighter and less expensive. I have a lagoon 380 with yanmar 3gm 30 with 3300 hours and sd20 saildrives. hi all, Just been having a good look at my sails (L380S2) and I noticed that almost all of the blocks that hold the reefing lines in place are cracked to some extent. most of these have cracks in the "wheel" of the block which i only noticed when I took the reefing lines off for replacement. Rather than replace the blocks directly, i was thinking about replacing them with low friction rings. Has anyone done this? if so, did you just use the dyneema strop and loop it round the ring on the sail or use another method? Thank you for sharing your advice and experience. Marc

I have Flexofold 2 blade on my boat. My Lagoon, being the predecessor to the L380, has shaft drive. I found that the 2 blade have more vibration and noise then my fixed props did. I believe that most of this is related to the shaft drive and may not affect a sail drive the same way. If I had it to do over I would have gotten 3-blade. All other aspects about the Flexofold are fantastic. Motoring performance is better then my fixed 2 blade. Reverse works the same. I've run charters for 12 years so I pull into docks a lot! I have a bearing replacement coming up but more important is replacing the rusted "quadrants" or arms that the link bar and autopilot ram connects to. Is there an off the shelf option or do I need to have them made. I am not even sure how successful I will be in removing them.
