Lagoon 380 bat cats

Hi every one, ?
I need advice on bat cars. ?My 380 S2 has, like most a “Z Spar” main mast and bat cars system with balls.
I am having trouble with my head car getting stuck. The balls are in good condition but the car jams and will not move. ? I believe some cars have been updated with slides instead of ball, has anyone got any experience on this subject? ?Thanks?

You can order Lagoon parts from MultiTech Marine in Fort Lauderdale. MultiTech is also dealers for Quick (water heaters & windlass) and Incidence Sails. ?And I believe MultiTech now has a location in Annapolis.? But for hardware, plumbing & ?most electrical, you can go to any marine chandlery for spare/replacement parts (West Marine, Defender, etc).? For Yanmar parts, go to a Yanmar dealer or Bay Shore Marine in Annapolis has on-line ordering and lots of engine parts in stock.? You can get Zincs from boatzinc.com.?

?

Frankly, I’m finding Amazon has more and more stuff which tends to be cheaper and much faster shipping for Prime members.

I've ordered lots of Lagoon parts from Groupe-Beneteau in Marion, SC.? Phone: 843-629-5320.? Unfortunately, I heard they are closing by the end of the year so I don't know how we'll get parts in the U.S. after that.

?Three screws hold factory installed spi block on the bow on my L 400. Noticed that my bow screw has some gelcoat cracks so thinking to reinforce by adding 3 more screws. Anyone has done that before, or has better idea?

The Profurl C-430 is their newer Coastal model and it's a little larger letting you use 1/2" wire size.? The NCi4216D only go up to 3/8 wire size so if that is not what you have then the LC42D is an older version from Profurl same as the NCi at a much better cost.? The list price on the C-430 is $3900.00? LC42D is $2800.00

?

Hope that helps

Re: Fresh water appearing above nav station

Here is an update, somewhat delayed? due to lack of rain, and then Hurricane Isaias came through! I wrapped the seam of of the bimini support with electrical tape, and that did the trick. No more water. Hard to believe that so much entered through that seam. Thanks to all who replied. Now I can move onto my next boat conundrum...

Use Snads from Sail Rite. Part#103652. They have an adhesive backing and
Sail Rite also sells an activator to strengthen the adhesive. On of 193 in
their catalog. Or look on line. I wound not drill a hole into the
plexiglass.

Yes, not easy. It digs in too fast and will either break the drill bit or the acryllic. I have tried running it backwards to heat it up then slowly forward to pull out the "softened" plastic with some success. But go slowly. Keep going backwards alittle then forwards alittle until the hole it made then backwards to soften the plastic for a few seconds. I have heard the same with cutting acryllic with ply wood blade running backwards on a table saw. It does make a mess though. Now, I just use the laminate trimmer. It also makes a mess.??

The Profurl NCi4216D would fit your standing rigging and we have sold many for replacements on that size Cats.? $2600 plus shipping from Stuart Florida.

The Harken, Furlex, Schaefer and Bamar systems we sell are much higher in price.

Best option for new roller furling jib

Hi all, I need a new furling drum, new or repaired aluminum extrusion. My furler is 15 years old. I'm thinking a new furler is my best bet. Which furler manufacturer and model would be the best bet for my L440?
Thanks in advance,
Joe
