Factory electrical problem

Hi,
My 450 is now 5 years old and it has been a great boat. It is a 230V/50Hz ship and I have wired my own LPG safety system into the boat and have therefore not used SG1 power from the 'spare' switch on the electrical panel for this purpose. Recently, I found a use for the 'spare' (LPG in the US version) switch. To my surprise when switching the switch on it immediately tripped the associated 10A breaker/fuse. My question is:-
I have traced the fault to the wiring downstream of plug 211 (a 23 wire connector). 211 resides under the stove area just aft of the house water pump. Disconnecting the plug 211 solves the problem and I can therefore prove that the short circuit is downstream of this point. My problem is that it appears the short is aft of the bulkhead, somewhere under the port cockpit seating area, just outboard and aft of the gas bottle enclosure. The only access to this area appears to be from the trim panels in the port aft stateroom. Does anyone have any ideas on how to unsnap the panels. I have tried everything I can think of without damaging them but they are on tight!!
Thanks,
Martin
