Re: [LagoonOwners] Digest Number 4446

Since we are talking Lagoon 37's, I have a 1993 Lagoon/TPI 37 for sale in Miami. I have owned her for 13 years and she has everything for living aboard or cruising. If anyone is interested or knows someone, please contact me at captron370@..., before I list her with a broker.
Thank you,
Capt. Ron Nelson - Sol Y Mar

Posted by: "Nigil" nigiil We just pulled a couple of ours out and then rebedded them. We decided to not replace ours at this time as they are in okay shape. I believe Midland Plastics in New Berlin, WI has an oven big enough to bend them. A sheet of 1/2" tinted acrylic is a little less than $500. They have a fabrication dept that can produce it but I think they may need to have the old one to make the form.

If you are talking about the big curved windows, mine were sanded and polished to 2000 grit then waxed, look great. I can't imagine baking a curve in acryllic being easier than sanding and polishing.

Has anyone thought of replacing these windows with 1/4" tempered glass? I know mine are pretty bad looking.

Posted by: "Rob" robsails Temporary stop-gap.. drill a stress relief hole at the end of the crack then fill with silicone or similar. This should stop the crack from lengthening while you sort out your solution.

When rebedding, consider not using fasteners.

There is an active group for Leopard cats and rebedding has been detailed there. Search yahoo groups and ask to min to be able to search the archives.
