Nice memory, Steve. Millie and Tony came to the family’s rescue so many times. She was my godmother and gave me my first bike. No more riding Dino’s “boy” bike. Mine was new, blue, and shiny.
It’s been a different Easter today, but I’m sure we’ll all remember why.

The weeping willow trees! ?If I remember correctly, we had three large willow trees. ?One was in our back yard not too far from the entrance to our kitchen door ?(long before the extension was added to the house). ?That tree was wonderful for climbing, and we had a great, homemade swing attached to one of the branches. ?We also had two even larger trees off to the side of the house in a meadow type area. ?We didn’t cut the grass there. ?Those are the two trees uprooted by the big storm. ?They kind of fell close together, giving the whole thing much more density. ?But it was one in particular that us so much fun; the other was kind of close to the road. ?I loved those willow trees and was so sad when the third tree—the one in our backyard--had to be taken down. ?Years later, Duane and I went to the Lenape Inn. ?We sat near some big windows and could see out back where they had a stand of weeping willows. ?I think they had spot lights on them, but maybe on a summer evening it was just not yet dark. For me it was so nostalgic.
Oh my gosh. Linda, I forgot about the “Brownies!"

Linda, thank you for clearing that up. I’m sorry if I upset anyone. Glad that Joanie eventually had a happy marriage. I’d also forgotten that Paul was Helen’s brother. I need my sister Lonie to put me straight.
I’m sorry you lost a good friend and cousin. First cousins are special

No Palms on my door as in days of yore. Today and Easter Sunday next week bring back many wonderful memories. You wore last Easter’s hat and clothes to church on Palm Sunday and on Easter Sunday all new bonnets, spring coats, and new shoes. In the dining room was a huge Kennett Kandy Kitchen, milk chocolate egg stuffed with their finest candy. Sunday dinner was ham, I guess, but Angie's homemade pasta was always the biggest hit. Family came to visit and talk - no phones to look at and at one point in my life, no phone at all.
In contrast, today I went to a supermarket at 7 a..m., wearing a mask, sunglasses, and latex gloves. So covered up, I couldn’t read my list. Then after coming home, spent the next hour disinfecting what I bought. Filled a sudsy sink with apples, oranges and lemons; even carrots! Wiped off with Clorox/water everything else I bought, touched in the car and outside the car, door knobs, etc. Dr. Fauci, the country’s primary doctor, says it works and do it. So I am and I’m sure you are too.
I hope you’re all healthy and hap py even wearing masks, bandanas bandito-style, and latex gloves with Clorox wipes and Purell handy. Maybe you even have enough TP shelved for the next week or so.
Love to all, Elaine

Wiped off with Clorox/water everything else I bought, touched in the car and outside the car, door knobs, etc. Dr. Fauci, the country’s primary doctor, says it works and do it. So I am and I’m sure you are too.
I hope you’re all healthy and hap py even wearing masks, bandanas bandito-style, and latex gloves with Clorox wipes and Purell handy. Maybe you even have enough TP shelved for the next week or so.
Love to all, Elaine

I’ve been putting off a trip to the grocery store with mask and gloves and wipes. I’ve been doing most of the recommended clean up but will beef up my efforts. Tomorrow is the day for my shopping trip. It won’t be 7:00 am for me but a lot earlier than usual.
Thanks, Elaine. Happy Easter and love to all from me too. Dorothy

Hi Aunt Elaine! I really enjoyed hearing your memories of Easter. It reminded me of my own family’s traditions growing up.
Steve and I are following all the guidelines. Thanks for reinforcing them.
Wishing you all the best! Pam

Re: Kennett Township fraud goes around the world
Paul, my grandmother Leo (nee Fragale) had first cousins and other relatives in K.S. she should wouldn’t speak to during her lifetime. Aunt Mamie, Aunt Lucie, my mother and Lonie were friendly with them, but the vendetta was on with the older ones.
Handsome, suave Robert Fragale and I were “kissing cousins” and laughed at the feud. My family would walk to the Leo farm on the corner of Rosedale and some other road every Sunday, stayed away from an attacking rooster, and froze in the house with no central heat.
Merry Christmas everyone and a happy, healthy New Year!
