Rand, Herb Pennock was Mary Lou¡¯s uncle. Grew up in Kennett Square. One big reason. Aunt Millie was one of the biggest baseball fans. I became a Yankees fan because Dino was. Philadelphia had two MLB teams then¡ªthe Phillies and the A¡¯s. Your father took Dino and me to a few games.
Why wouldn¡¯t we be Yankees fans¡ªJoe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Casey?Stengel, etc.. And, saw the movie, The Pride of the Yankees?about Lou?Gehrig, many times. ?But, they¡¯re having a lousy?season this year and I want a new manager. Aaron Boone has not produced.

Since he played for the Yankees, is this why some of our family were/are yankee fans?
