Back in the older day, Lonie and I were cheerleaders for the KHS soccer teams. Lonie predated me when both Mim and Arch were playing. Dino was on the team when I was a cheerleader. I knew nothing about football until college TheToughies would get an annual game against a ragtag KS team. We¡¯d watch on the Mary D. Land playground. No equipment, uniforms, or whatever for the teams. I confess I¡¯m interested for USA and to see the advanced skills. ?We ¡°girls¡± played soccer and field hockey in the fall gym classes, but no Title IX so no games with other schools.

So far not too many controversial calls by the refs. Mexico always gets screwed with bad calls. Messie will get a penalty kick soon.

For the record, the 0-0 draw against England yesterday was a win for me. Kinda like the Lions beating anyone.?
I¡¯d rather watch two 45+ minutes of soccer without commercials than 2 hours of commercials to one hour of football.?
