I love it. Brings back so many memories. Many photos of my siblings and friends sitting on those steps near the wall. The porch was a great place to watch the cars go by and see who was in them.? Small town amusement.
I did, as a present for my mom, the little girl rollerskating. Thanks, I know it¡¯s amateur as hell but I¡¯m glad you like it. She does too!
Amy, did you paint this?! It is amazing! And yes the house?has less windows now. It looked better back then I'm sure!
That beautiful porch used to run the length of the front of the house, put Archie closed the right side in to make a workshop for his father, a cobbler whose customers came and went from a door around the side. The wall has always been there and is there today. But now the entire porch is boxed in and the whole house is cut up into apartments. I based this scene on old photographs of 405 from about 1940. Angie looks out the window. Rosalie sits on the wall and watches Elaine roller-skate with Prince. Dino sits on porch. The large trees in front were King Crimson maples.

Cool painting. Don¡¯t remember the wall at the sidewalk or the fancy details on the porch.?
