VC FILMFEST: RENDAN Rescheduled!

Hi folks, it's us here at Visual Communications. We want to let you all know
about the screening of "RENDAN: Quartet for Two" that was postponed from its
original screening date of May 23rd at the Japan America Theatre. Thanks to
Shochiku Co. Ltd., we have been able to reschedule the screening for:

SATURDAY and SUNDAY, June 2 and 3, 2001
11:00 a.m. (each morning)
Laemmle's Monica 4-Plex
1332 Second Street Santa Monica 90405
(Two blocks south of Wilshire Blvd., one block from the beach)
(310) 394 9741 Program info
Parking located across the street from the theatre

One block away from either the Third Street Promenade or the Santa Monica
Pier, so plan on spending your morning with us. This will be a relaxed,
mellow way of sending off the 16th edition of VC FILMFEST until we get
together and do it all over again next May, 2002.

RENDAN, which premiered at Berlin last February, is the newest film by
actor/director Takenaka Naoto, who Festival audiences may remember for his
co-starring role in Ishii Takashi's GONIN (Festival 1996); and is best known
for his scene-stealing role as a closet tango dancer in SHALL WE DANCE?
(1995). This well-regarded comedy/drama also stars Amami Yuki, formerly a
star performer with the renowned all-girl Takurazuka Revue; this screening
will be the film's U.S. Premiere engagement.

As with all communiqu¨¦s from Visual Communications, pease feel free to
forward this message on to all your online friends. Thanks for your patience
as we reschedule this new film, and we look forward to seeing you there!
