The Santa Monica Festival 2001 marks a decade of honoring the many cultures
that have shaped Santa Monica¡¯s history. Presenting an eclectic array of
traditional and contemporary music and dance, an environmental treasure hunt,
community organizations, local craft vendors, hands-on workshops, and
demonstration. The festival offers volunteers a chance to help out with
set-up, workshops, stage and performance assistance, performer greeter or
festival break-down. Volunteer shifts are approximately 2 to 3 hours each,
and most are scheduled between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm (some begin as early as
7:30 am).
