I just watched the news from the US (CA.) There have been a few people (less than 10) diagnosed with bird flu.? ?As of now there is no human to human transmission but it has gone from birds to humans & birds to cattle to humans.? The 1st death from bird flu was announced today - and it was in Mexico. The deceased had many other medical problems and was sick for a long time. But they warned people to be careful around birds & other livestock and to cook all poultry to at least 165 degrees.

Same thing happened to us. Our house cleaner called her brother in law who discovered that the valve was turned off. He turned it on problem solved. A little disconcerting that it’s happened to others.?

Exactly the same thing happened to us about 2 months.? Suddenly no water, cistern was empty, and the main valve was closed... Unfortunately, our pump has to be reset because of that (something happened to the motor..) I didn't report it, because I thought someone thought it was funny to do so.?? But if 2 of us have already had this prank, we should tell Gretel or someone about it...
