All,
My previous request for bird book suggestions for Christmas has been going well. PLEASE send them to me if you haven¡¯t yet. So far, I have received zero titles by people like Jon Donn, Steve Howell, Geoff Hill, Donald Kroodsma, Ted Floyd, or even Roger Tory Peterson for that matter. So if you have some favorites from these folks or from anyone else, please send them to me ASAP.
NEW REQUEST!!
I¡¯d like to start congratulating LOS members on home parish, LA, NA, etc. life list achievements. As in, ¡°Congratulations to Jay Bird for his 500th NA life bird: Yellow-billed Albatross,¡± or ¡°Congratulations to Robin Aves on her 1000th world life bird: Keel-billed Toucan!¡±
To keep it simple, I¡¯ll be celebrating all of the following if you send it in to me:
YOUTH birders:
-100th species and up and in intervals of 50 (150, 200, 250¡) of any region.
ADULT birders:
- home parish species starting at 100 and increasing in intervals of 50.
- LA species starting at 300 and increasing in intervals of 50.
- NA species starting at 400 and increasing in intervals of 50.
- world species starting at 600 and increasing in intervals of 50.
PLEASE INCLUDE THE NAME OF THE SPECIES! And if you have a photo of the bird, please send it in case I have room to add photos.
Thanks!
John Dillon
