LA-1K Max feed-through power?
开云体育Jim, ? There is no problem. With the amp off, it will use the Power of the FT5000. ? With the Amp on, there is a bypass that you can turn off, but then if your doing that then just turn off the amp and your fine. ? One note you may want to heed. In menu optioin 171 of the rig, set it to MAX Power 50w so you don’t damage the LA1K unknowingly. It does go into bypass if its over 55w but just to play it safe. ? You can always manually adjust it up to 200w if you don’t want to use the amp. ? This is how I use mine. Store it as 50W and If I want only 100 w out then I manually adjust the knobs on the rig. ? 73 and Enjoy the beautiful LA1K ? Barry VE6UM ? 开云体育Further to my last. With the amp off it automatically thru puts connector 1. That is where you should put the FT5000 into. Thanks, Barry. I only use port 1 on the amp, so it’s easy.? The amp is powered off when I use the Yaesu, and there’s no PTT connection between them. The Yaesu and the other rigs all pass through an isolated multiport switch connected to the amp input. All the antenna switching is done out by the tower with a remote switch.
