Firmware

 

Just got my new LA-1k It has 1.07b firmware. Is this a new version?

Hard to say but likely. Palstar does not keep their site up to date.

I sent my amp in for repair and it came back with 1.06 on it.? So yours is newer.

?

However, the newest available on their site is 1.05

?

They emailed me an update when I asked. It took weeks for that update to show on the web site. It is obviously is even further behind now. All of their documentation is rather terse as well.

I bought mine two months ago, and it has 1.05 on it.??
I don't update firmware unless it fixes something I have an issue with.
No idea why they cant post the update changelog on the website in a timely manner, But Marantz and Denon have the same problem.? Have to email their tech support to find out what changed.

Yes, recently released but I think there may be another one coming shortly which is why the website has not been updated.

Low output on 160. Worked but only at about ? power.

?

They found some failed parts and they have came up with some circuit improvements for 160 so they did those at same time.

?

All other bands were OK.

Interesting...

So it could be the LA-1K was not reliably detecting the frequency? That might cause a problem also.

Is the firmware the text file in the zip?? Normally firmware is labeled .bin
 

Yes, it's the txt file always had been with Palstar LA-1k

Yes - it is the .txt file in the zip folder. I just installed on Tuesday this week.
