The reason why I say that, if it measures 1.2 with an analyzer at very low power, it's highly likely something is heating up and saturating or arcing under the higher power.

If you haven't yet, go open your balun for that 43' vertical, check all the connections for any signs of arcing and check the insides, the wire windings etc for any charring or signs of arcing.

<Be sure you have the latest firmware version installed. ? About a year ago Palstar changed the way SWR is metered in the LA-1K and it is now incorporated in the current version listed on their website.>
