Re: 6 meter output

Having this Amp up and running for a couple months, using only 110V, I can tell you that 220 is the way to go.?
This amp has given me 1000-1200 W output with 110V, but not for very long.? Not only will the amp shut off if you
exceed the current cut-off (whatever it is, I think probably somewhere around 30-33A), but when I have tried to drive
the amp toward 1KW a time or 2, it shut down my 35A 12V power supply running my FlexRadio and the Palstar HF-Auto Tuner.
Tuner and the Flex would not power up again until something reset.? Flex support suggested to go with 220V for the LA-1K as it would
be on a separate circuit than the other stuff.? Plus with 220V the current will be less compared to 110V.? ?So I'm not near a stove, but
will get a 220 line installed, very soon. Until then I'm reluctant to run amp over 500-600 watts. Only takes 21w transceiver drive to get 500w
out of the amp.? ?Hope you get yours soon!? ? ?73 de W8RBD
