My TS-890S will feed-thru the LA-1K while the amp is off.? Is your problem due to a setup issue?? My LA-1K defaults to BYPASS at startup.? Suggest you review the LA-1K setup menu, and see if that might be the reason.? The brand of your exciter should have NO effect on BYPASS.? I used an Icom IC-7600 with the same LA-1K, and had full BYPASS when off.
