As I recall... no change necessary. However, this is my procedure for using them together on SSB: - Make sure the LA-1K is in Direct Keying mode (settings) and on standby.
- Have the correct antenna selected on the HF-Auto.
- Make sure the internal FTDX10 tuner is?OFF.
- Put Mode on the FTDX10 to AM or FM?(adjust RF output to 5 to 10 watts max).
- Key the FTDX10 with a brief press of the mike button and let the HF-Auto tune the antenna at the frequency you desire.?
- You often need to press the mike button a 2nd time to get the HF-Auto to display the correct SWR match.
- Once you have a match on the HF-Auto, adjust FTDX10 RF output power to no more than 40 watts.
- Switch the FTDX10 to SSB.
- Switch the LA-1K to?operate and begin transmitting.
There are other ways to do this... but this is what has worked for me.

I was curious if I will need to change any of the settings on the Yaesu FT DX-10 after connecting it to the LA-1K with the home made cable?
