The 7300 was/is notorious for
overshoot, unless it's been corrected.?
The overshoot (RF output from the 7300 spiking considerably
higher than the LA-1K likes) causes the LA-1K to protect itself
by kicking to STBY.

does it too.? Poor ALC design on Icom's part.? ?I finally gave up,
sold the 7300 and bought a FT-710.? No more problem.
