This is the first time I've read about this issue.? I have 2 LA-1K's and have not experienced this issue with either.? I use the band data cable to connect to my 101MP and SteppIR controller.? I sometimes turn the amp on first and sometimes turn the radio on first.
Interesting thread!? I've been using my LA-1K for over 4 years (often daily) and have NEVER experienced the blank display problem discussed here.
For what it's worth, I'm driving it with an IC-7610 with no band data cable - amp is totally auto sensing. I wonder if using a high grade USB cable (with torrid chokes on each end) would help?
