I have the same issue with the blank gray screen at times. It is intermittent and not really a big deal but the first time it happened I thought the screen had died.
Anyway to fix the issue I turn off the amp, unplug the USB Band control cable from the Flex (this is the easiest cable to reach) and plug it back in. Then turn the amp back on. This works every time. I normally don't turn on the amp unless I need it.

Maybe, but mine is usually the last in the string to be turned on and I've never had a problem.

And, in between QSOs, while just listening, I'll turn the amp off, then back on when I need it. ?
Makes no difference that I've ever noticed. ?I run it on 240v, by the way.

?May sound strange - but my experience is that if amp is turned on before the radio the WSOD (White screen of death) doesn’t happen! - please give that a try next time!
I wish palstar address this issue and may be provide a firmware update if it can be fixed by one.?
