Starting with a freestanding track?
I have a linear arrangement (240mm long) for replicated circuits of the hierarchical daughter sheet.
I want to draw 4 freestanding tracks (2 power and 2 signal) along the long edge and connect the replicated circuits with them. Usually I start a track at a pad, but how can I do it without a pad? I tried with free-standing vias, but had no luck. Axel --- PGP-Key: CDE74120 ? computing @ chaos claudius |
First you should create a schematic representing the circuit you want to

You can draw a track and then just select it and change the net through the properties menu On Fri, 01 Jul 2022, 16:13 Axel Rau, <Axel.Rau@...> wrote: I have a linear arrangement (240mm long) for replicated circuits of the hierarchical daughter sheet. |

You can start an unconnected track (i.e. no associated net, or no netlist) in the middle of nowhere, but you may not be able to connect it to anything. It depends on your router settings. If you want to be able to connect anything to anything (at least initially):
