3D Not quite there

I got the plug in and generated the WRL for the mod file. OK....I opened up the model (in the active library) and got the footprint there. Then I opened up model properties and was able to bring in the WRL. It loaded and showed nicely in the properties update. Closed it out, saved it to the active library but the 3D viewer doesn't show the what I saw as I was inputting the WRL file to the footprint....looked ok there....I will try to delete the schematic part and input the new part/footprint and see what happens...not sure how well KiCAD back annotates.

.OK...got it...and indeed no back annotation....had to remove lib file and mod file...saved both. Then added new lib in, new net list into PCBnew...and VOILA, there ya go...Just like the old days of Orcad..sorta....

An issue did arise and that a STEP model I got for a part has a couple of pieces and the macro is a bit mysterious had to make those features into one part since it exported only one feature of the STEP file into KiCAD...and the mountain gets a bit steeper? :)

Usually just re-reading the netlist will, pick up any changes to the
footprints. There are options on the requester to do a dry run, exchange
footprints and so on.

Rereading the netilst didn't bring in the 3D view when I did it.?

I had to remove the part in the 2 files and act like it was something new....
