Re: Net names starting with a slash
I believe it indicates that the signal is inverted.

Net names starting with a slash
What means the slash in /SDA ? There exists also a net called SDA. Are the slash variants related to the parent sheet of my flat hierarchy? Axel --- PGP-Key: CDE74120 ? computing @ chaos claudius

Re: Starting with a freestanding track?
You can start an unconnected track (i.e. no associated net, or no netlist) in the middle of nowhere, but you may not be able to connect it to anything. It depends on your router settings. If you want

You can draw a track and then just select it and change the net through the properties menu

First you should create a schematic representing the circuit you want to build a PCB board for. Have you done that? Chris --

Starting with a freestanding track?
I have a linear arrangement (240mm long) for replicated circuits of the hierarchical daughter sheet. I want to draw 4 freestanding tracks (2 power and 2 signal) along the long edge and connect the

I always used the cursor keys, not the mouse when I want precise control. Also the rel org figurers keep things on track I select the start point, hit space to zero the rel co-ords then place the line

Re: Drawing rectangles
Thanks for your answer. Yes, it works. But it is clumsy, if you have to use a fine grid. The rectangle tool being constraint to a quadrate looks like a bug in 6.0.6 to me. Axel --- PGP-Key: CDE74120

Re: Drawing rectangles
Hi Using Kicad 5.1.12 I use the "add graphic lines" tool. Click at the start point, click once every corner and double click at the last (first) corner to close. The result is one line between each 2

Drawing rectangles
Hi all, simple question: How can I define a rectangle for the edge cut? With the rectangle tool I can draw quadrates by clicking at start and end point. A rectangle is shown when I drag from the start

Re: [Newbie] No synchronization of layout with flat hierarchy
You need to use the 'Replicate Layout' plugin to duplicate a layout for identical hierarchical sheets. You can layout just one copy, place the pivots for each other duplicate sheets then just use the

Re: KiCAd post, back on the list in case someone else might be able to help
The base is 7mm square, with 6 "pins" but it is analog out so only uses 3 of the 4 corner pins. I have a 6040 mill, with a 24k rev spindle and engraving bits, and can write gcode, so for a one off,
