Re: Capture a Spice schematic?
Thanks, Jon. If it is at 7.99, can 8.0 be far away? Should I wait? ====================================================================================== Best wishes John Woodgate OOO-Own Opinions

Re: Capture a Spice schematic?
LTSpice schematic import support has been added in the nightly builds (7.99) and will be released in KiCad 8.0. Unfortunately, there is no way I know of to import an LTSpice schematic in 7.0 or older

Re: Capture a Spice schematic?
Thanks, Tony, but I think you misunderstood. I want to convert an LTspice schematic (in .ASC or any other format) to a KiCad schematic. I could print it and re-create it in KiCad, but I was hoping to

Re: Capture a Spice schematic?
I think you're out of luck, John. There are scripts to create symbols, but I suspect they are not useful for the kind of (analogue) stuff you want to use. Perhaps if you post a list of what you're

Re: Capture a Spice schematic?
Symbols and PCBs can be captured from bitmaps, so it looks as though schematics, which are much simpler, could be captured, but there is no direct way to do that in KiCad 6. I wonder if there is an

Capture a Spice schematic?
Is it possible to capture a Spice schematic (perhaps in the form of an .ASC, .JPG or .BMP) as a Kicad schematic?

He is on the Kicad list John, not LTspice. Read the subject line of the email.

Re: Updating symbols merges power/ground nets
I am not running a simulation. I don't know how you got that idea. This is in the schematic editor.

No-one can tell by extra-sensory perception. Upload your .ASC files AND all the other files required to run the simulation, but not? .RAW nor .LOG files, as a ZIP archive to Files => Temp and then

Updating symbols merges power/ground nets
I have a design which is essentially two separate circuits (a motherboard and daughter card)?with two 3.3V rails (+3V3 and +3.3VP) and two separate grounds (GND and GND1). They do, however, use two

Do you have "locked items" turned on in the selection filter on the bottom right?

Not on macos 10.15. Seems to be a bug. But 7.x does npt run on my macos, so no bug report. )-; Text editor is yout friend. (-; Axel --- PGP-Key: CDE74120 ? mobile: +49 160 7568212 computing @ chaos

Re: Copying geometry from one board to another
Another suggestion, after placement, would be to export step models of both boards, and do a fit check in FreeCAD or another 3D modelling tool of your choice. Select the two mating surfaces and add a
