Re: #feature_request #feature_request
Is your viewer in the right mode? Note that there are two views: "User Display Mode" and "Native Display Mode". In the user display mode, the %D has the date substitution; in the native mode, the "%D"

Re: #feature_request #feature_request
I tried this without success: in "Page Setting" I add in "issue date" %D, but in the description field, there is only displayed: "Modified: %D"

Re: #feature_request #feature_request
Thank you very much, this was exactly what I want

Re: #feature_request #feature_request
I would have thought that such an option would already be there, and it is. See: https://docs.kicad.org/6.0/en/pl_editor/pl_editor.html %D inserts the current date in5to the text

#feature_request find options #feature_request
My wish would be, that for the "find text" function would be more possibility of filters For example filter the search of labels according * net label? or * global label? or * hierarchical labels

I would like, that the displayed date in schematic and pcb-sheet will be automated with the date, when I save it (like SaveDate in Word)

Re: Using KiCad Nightly and Release builds on the same Windows machine?
OK, thanks, I'll give it a try. I like to keep up with the Nightlies but I also need a stable version to do production work. Right now they don't share a machine.

Re: Using KiCad Nightly and Release builds on the same Windows machine?
The main issue is that if the file formats change in the Nightlies, you won't be able to open any saved files with the Release version. Therefore, if you use both, keep project backups. KiCad is

Using KiCad Nightly and Release builds on the same Windows machine?
Has anyone experience of using the KiCad Nightly build alongside the Release build on the same (Windows) machine? I am interested to know if it worked well enough, or if there are any problems or

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
I have not used Kicad for a while now so my answer may be dated. I had the same problem once. Read somewhere that I had to have the holes on the scematic page, thought it was strange, did it any

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
Hello. I always put mounting holes also to schematics and define the footprint there. This way they won't disappear. Br.Meelis

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
Hi I do take the easy way out of such issues. I had the mounting holes and similar features to the schematic. NOTE: If you don't have a mounting hole component in your symbol libraries just had

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
In the KiCad PCB Editor a selected component can be 'locked' with hotkey 'L' by default. I assume you are placing your mounting holes in the PCB Editor using 'Add a footprint' (hotkey 'A') and
Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
Henner, Using V6.0.8 here. I tried your suggestion of locking the mounting holes. Performed an update from the schematic. Mounting holes disappeared. Your suggestion to lock them was just a guess?

»Ø¸´£º [kicad-users] Linking between symbol and footprint ?
I think the key problem here is physical and logical pin difference's check. actually current flow donot control on any mismatch check between any symbol/footprint's creation process because both

Does clicking in the pin on the symbol not do this, and vice versa?

Re: Linking between symbol and footprint ?
Yes, I already use that ... I was looking for a way to highlight a pad in a footprint from a pin in the symbol. ie between the footprint editor and the symbol editor. Regards, Dave

Re: Linking between symbol and footprint ?
There is a tool called "highlight wires and pins of a net" in the schematic editor just below the arrow tool at the top of the right hand toolbar. This highlights the trace and pins on the PCB window,
