开云体育Is your viewer in the right mode? Note that there are two views: "User Display Mode" and "Native Display Mode". In the user display mode, the %D has the date substitution; in the native mode, the "%D" is displayed. Please read the documentation. Donald. On 1/4/23 18:24, gs.gerl@...

I tried this without success: in "Page Setting" I add in "issue date" %D, but in the description field, there is only displayed: |
Re: #feature_request

I would have thought that such an option would already be there, and it
is. See: %D inserts the current date in5to the text string. Personally I think changing the date is a VERY bad idea. The date tells you when the project was started. It is more usual to have amendments and modifications documented with the date of the amendment. As always it's your workflow, so your rules.. :-) Andy On Mon, 02 Jan 2023 15:08:57 -0800 gs.gerl@... wrote: I would like, that the displayed date in schematic and pcb-sheet will be automated with the date, when I save it (like SaveDate in Word) |

My wish would be, that for the "find text" function would be more possibility of filters
For example filter the search of labels according

Therefore, if you use both, keep project backups. KiCad is always backward-compatible, but not forward-compatible. --

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
I have not used Kicad for a while now so my answer may be dated.? I had the same problem once.? Read somewhere that I had to have the holes on the scematic page, thought it was strange, did it any way.? It worked though.? ?Simply arranged them on right of schematic and then arranged them on PCB. Tey sid not disappear again. I always put mounting holes also to schematics and define the footprint there. This way they won't disappear. Br. Meelis

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
开云体育Hi
I do take the easy way out of such issues. I had the mounting holes and similar features to the schematic.
NOTE: If you don't have a mounting hole component in your symbol
libraries just had a single point connector and associate it with
a mounting hole footprint. HIH

Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
In the KiCad PCB Editor a selected component can be 'locked' with hotkey 'L' by default. I assume you are placing your mounting holes in the PCB Editor using 'Add a footprint' (hotkey 'A') and selecting a footprint from the MountingHole library (i.e. 'MountingHole_3.2mm_M3' or something).
Such a component should survive an update from the schematic (using 'Update PCB from Schematic') UNLESS you have selected 'Delete footprints with no symbols'. If you have that selected, your additional footprints will get blown away even if you locked them beforehand. |
Re: Mounting holes disappear when updating PCB to schematic - expletive Tools->Update PCB from Schematic
Henner,
Using V6.0.8 here. I tried your suggestion of locking the mounting holes. Performed an update from the schematic. Mounting holes disappeared. Your suggestion to lock them was just a guess? |
回复: [kicad-users] Linking between symbol and footprint ?
开云体育I think the key problem here is physical and logical pin difference's check. actually current flow donot control on any mismatch check between any symbol/footprint's creation process because both always front&back end group team design activity. so the problem will finally catched until when user using symbol in schematic and sync to PCB with the wrong footprint.. we should make? this kinds of check during the flow of footprint assignment tool instead of the function of "Update PCB from Schematic" ? ? ------------------?原始邮件?------------------ 发件人: "Andrew Armstrong"<andrew@...>; 发送时间: 2022年12月29日(星期四) 晚上7:09 收件人: "kicad-users"<[email protected]>; 主题: Re: [kicad-users] Linking between symbol and footprint ? schematic editor just below the arrow tool at the top of the right hand toolbar. There is a tool called "highlight wires and pins of a net" in the schematic editor just below the arrow tool at the top of the right hand toolbar. This highlights the trace and pins on the PCB window, if it is open (prefera bly on another screen)
