Re: User pcbnew hotkeys

Hi Jean-Paul,

If I am not wrong, your question (as mine) has seen the light since the creation of our dear Kicad. My today post about it, was just a hope that someone can give me a sure answer no matter if it is positive or negative. But for some reasons, unknown to me in the least, developpers and the majority of users try not to give a final/practical answer yet... so only hope remains :)

Regards,

Kerim

Hello,

I am using
KiCad-2010-05-05-BZR2356-final-WinXP_full_with_components_doc_autoinstall.ex
e and I am unfortunate because I never was able to modify the hotkeys, what
would be very useful. Especially one question: how my I find which
"sentence/description" to associate to a hotkey in the hotkey file?

Jean-Paul

Hi All,

Just to be sure that I didn't miss anything while searching about user
pcbnew hotkeys, I would like to hear from you a 'yes' or 'no' for the
following simple question:

Did you (each member here) find out how to create a user file "pcbnew.key"
for your preferred hotkeys?

If yes, would you please let me know which Kicad version you work with.

I still use "KiCad-2009-02-16-final-WinXP_autoinstall" which is fine for my
actual projects (on XP SP3 and Windows 7 Home Basic).
If the 'user defined hotkeys' issue is resolved, it would be an important
good reason to download and install a newer version.

In any case, I take the opportunity to thank the Kicad developpers for
sharing with us their professional software and its updates.

Kerim
