You may find some parts on a millimetre pitch (5 mm, 2 mm) rather than
'inches converted to millimetres' (i.e. 0.1 inch as 2.54 mm).

There are numerous websites which work with distributors, vendors, and
so on to create symbols, footprints, and 3d models which you can
download and import.
Usually pots are generic so odds are very high a pre-existing example
is out there.
