I have recently been working with old radio receiver boards which have PCBs obviously made from an original hand-drawn artwork, lots of nice curves etc. I would like to recreate these in KiCad. One idea is to scan or otherwise reproduce the 'artwork' in a vector drawing package such as Inkscape, and then export a black-and-white image of it to KiCad into the FCu or BCu layer with the proper scale.
Is it possible to import an artibtrary black-and-white image to a copper layer and have, say, the black areas become copper and the white areas be non-copper?
