I've used KiCad before, but it was a few years ago and I never got that familiar with it.? I have a new project, so I'm looking for a fresh start.
I thought I should update to the latest revision, which seems to be 7.0.2, running under Windows 10.? I guess I'm used to software that knows how to check the rev number and update itself.? But it appears KiCad doesn't do this?? Or am I simply not finding the button to tell it to check for updates?? So I need to download the 7.0.2 revision and install it over 7.0.0?
Also, my vision has taken a turn for the worse since I last used the tool.? Like many Windows programs, they aren't very good at letting you specify the size of various text.? I don't expect the schematic or layout to be a problem because you can zoom in on what you want to see.? But the text in dialog boxes and menus is very hard for me to read.? I don't see any settings to help with this.? Any suggestions?? I've already zoomed using the Windows controls as much as practical.? I'd prefer not to have to muck with that further.
