Hi,
The list could use some activity and I'm not sure there is a dumb
question.? I've yet to switch to 6.0 so anything I read helps.? I really
need to switch tho.? I just have put projects on the back burner for a
while.? Still, I'd like to read whatever problems you run into.? May
save me some grief later on.?

I didn¡¯t want to clog up the users group with dumb questions!

?Hi,
Why not send questions to this list? After all, others may learn
something as well. That is the purpose of a mailing list.

Hi Jeff,
I sent a message to what I have guessed is your email address. I don't
really want to post my email address on a public forum to avoid spam.
I don't see a way to message you directly outside of the group...
Cheers,
Chris

?Hi Jeff,
Don't fear version 6!
I am also happy to help if you get stuck. I use V6.0 regularly.

Thanks heaps John, no reason that sounds reasonable, I¡¯m just a little
bit on the other side of old and just afraid to change over. I did look
up the kicad, six beginners guide, and I pretty much like what that
says. So I might actually change over to V6. If I get stuck John, can I
email you for help?
Thanks again, jeff

Any reason you aren't using version 6?
Here's a good introduction to managing libraries in V6:

Greetings, I am having difficulties understanding libraries. I am
using KICAD, 5.1.9. I¡¯m trying to create symbols and footprints
and I don¡¯t understand how to select where to store the library. I
would appreciate some help on this or a pointer where it is
explained on the Internet.
Thank you, jeff
