I would like to express my dissatisfaction to transferring my account to another platform without my consent.
I can confirm I had registered this email address to yahoo group service, but then abandoned this group since there were no so many discussion threads.
Without my consent you have transferred my email information to another service provider, I have never agree to any groups.io terms or conditions.
In my opinion, you should no automatically transfer any user accounts to group.io and ask every person to register and join group if they wont.
There are also GDPR rights applicable on the user data you fetch from yahoo groups even if you had not sent them to groups.io.
