I've got no hard opinions, but it seems kind of silly to set up another split community when the kicad forum is relatively vibrant and this one has long had minimal traffic. (This is only the 13th thread this year if I counted correctly)? There's always other reasons like personalities/culture that are valid, but keeping a positive culture seems to be a priority over there as well.
Minor side note, the Discourse (the forum platform which runs ) does allow for replying to posts via email.? Posting new topics via email is also possible, but a bit clunky...? ?
1 - No email conversations
2 - Each post in each thread is effectively a separate page
3 - User interface is so-so.
