The problem with printing a PCB layout is that is depends so much on
the printer. It is better to use a standard like postscript of hpgl

standard.

On my system if I just print a PCB it comes out too small so I could
use a factor (a bit less than your 1.577) to make the printed size
correct. However, I do not need to do this. Instead I PLOT the PCb to
a postscript file then print this file and the scaling is done
automatically. The same poscript file prints at the right size on my
Samsung laser and HP inkjet printers.

Hi,

I've solved my printing problem with win98 (see previous thread about
scrambled printout) by using another computer with winXP. It manages
to preview properly (not scrambled) and print on a HPlaser with a
factor of 1.04. This was the same printer that win98 tried to use.

My question is, what program do you use to print a "postscript file"
once you have saved it to disc.
I tried ghostview on win 98 but it doesn't operate, just runs an
invisible window and stalls.

Thanks, Tony
