EARS Members discussion forum [email protected]

We are all members of the global fraternity of amateur radio.  Our fraternity encourages friendship, empath, and camaraderie among all involved around the world. It encourages application of science, math, electronics, and outdoor exploring, and life long pursuit of knowledge and new global friendships. It encourages friendly competition where the kid down the block is able to compete with the elite! Our hobby is an equalizer across religion, politics, wealth - its a wonderful social hobby.

This group is not for trading gear (that's the purpose of the OKTRADERS group). This group is for club members to share things with everyone else in the club - such as "Will someone open the club station", "Can someone help me make my first ...", or "Anyone interested in an EME party at my house?", "I'm in the VHF contest and need simplex contacts" or "Does anyone have ... I can borrow this weekend" or "Anyone have experience with..." or "Anyone up for a motorcycle ride tomorrow".

This is NOT to be used to make fun of others. This is not for complaining about government or to spread theories of hidden motives. It's for the promotion of our hobby and social interaction of our club members. If someone asks for help with (contest/digital/cw/qrp) and you dislike that activity, just keep your opinion to yourself. We do not need people evangelizing their judgement of someone else's desire to undertake a new mode, method or practice. We are all just trying new things for a while!

This is for members of the Edmond (Oklahoma) Amateur Radio Society, EARS, club call K5EOK.

Our facebook site is primarily used for marketing. This utility, groups.io, is used for our social camaraderie. We don't have a lot of storage so any photos posted will be removed as we run out of free storage.

If you sign-up to the group, feel free to text me and ask me to approve your membership to the group.
Please also, add your photo and callsign to our 'Directory'. This will help and encourage communications between members.
