WKUSB-AF PC sidetone connection

Hello all,
My Icom IC-7600 does not present a CW sidetone on the USB audio interface so I cannot hear what is being transmitted when operating remote. I would like to connect the AF sidetone output of the WKUSB-AF to my PC microphone connector. I don't see anything in the manual on how to do this, so I have a few questions before I just plug it in and pray.

1. Does a connection to a PC mic input require any isolation?
2. What about attenuation?

I am aware of the need for a stereo connector. Thank in advance,

There is no sidetone output, at least on my WKUSB3, but it's fairly easy to bring out a cable from the little piezio "spkr."? The signal will be a 5V square wave and will need quite a bit of attenuation if feeding a PC mic input.? If your PC has a LINE IN, that might be a better choice.? The square wave is somewhat harsh sounding [very harsh for those with refined hearing] and a little R-C filter will help round off the edges.

I feed the WK sidetone into a little audio mixer along with audio from the K3 and the remote-rig and the mixer drives my headphones.? I have sidetone turned off in the WK [my sidetone comes from the radio] but the WK still provides audio feedback for button actions.

WKUSB-AF has a sine wave sidetone output that can be fed into the line input of a sound card. The level can be adjusted by a volume control on the front panel.

Yes, my ?TS590-SG has sidetone that is fully adjustable in the menu and sounds like a pure sine wave to me. IMHO the sidetone on WinKeyer is usable only as a diagnostic aid.

?

That does not mean I do not like the keyer. There is basically nothing else out there. Too bad there? is only a single source and even worse that Kits are not available. I put the kit together. MANY years ago now it seems. Not easy for my eyes ,even back when I was maybe 80 or so. It would be impossible now at 85.
