Stop a message during transmission
I usually use my Winkeyer USB with N3FJP ACL control, but this requires ACL to have focus.? I have similar messages in the keyer itself and can of course send them with the buttons. When using full break-in, if I hear the station I'm calling I can cancel my message with the ESC key.? Is there a comparable way to do this from the keyer itself?

开云体育Pressing the paddles will stop a message if the application supports that function. Some apps support it and some don’t. You would have to contact the application developer to find that out.Steve K1EL? On Mar 24, 2025, at 1:41?PM, Wes Stewart via groups.io <n7ws@...> wrote:

I thought I was clear.? You are the "application" developer.? Forget that the keyer is connected to a computer.? I press a button on the keyer.? It starts transmitting a message.? During that transmission I hear the station I'm calling.? How do, or do I, terminate the message prematurely?? I would like to do it with another button, if possible.

开云体育Be careful of using the ESC.? I was basically called a dumb a*s for using it and I should use the DEL key instead. ? Pat – KZ5J ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Wes Stewart via groups.io

From N3FJP's website: "To stop sending CW, from the main form, press Esc."
?
Furthermore, I primarily chase DX, often in pileups.? I have Function key F1 programmed with my call.? F2 is "TU5NN.? If I want to send an accurate report, it's F3.
?
The ESC key is next to the F1 key.? The Winkeyer is just to the left of the keyboard.? I would like to run all of the keying with my left hand.

开云体育That’s what I would like to do as well but the ESC key nor the DEL key will correct my problem.? Neither will all the ferrite cores available.? I too run ACLog and my set up sounds similar to yours F1-CQ TEST, F2-KZ5J, F3-599TX, etc.? Problem is the keyer periodically goes goofy poop and will only send one letter of the call then maybe two letters of the call, then the whole call.? By that time in addition to being embarrassed you’ve lost the DX. ? Good luck with your issues and we will see you in the piles. ? Pat – KZ5J ? To be clear.... if you running in WK standalone mode, not connected to a host application... which is not what you said... you press either paddle to end the message. On Mon, Mar 24, 2025 at 3:17?PM Wes Stewart via <n7ws=[email protected]> wrote:
