I am not sure what difficulties you are having. Mine works quite well. All I did was RFM.? On the radio side the the keyer behaves? as a straight key.? Make sure you install the driver.? Audio can be taken from the speaker output or better the rear DIN connector on the back of the radio. If you take audio from the speaker you will need a splitter cable to send audio to the K45 and earphones or an external speaker. I have also used the to send RTTY with my IC-705 the cabling is not documented by ICOM but is super easy.? I left a message on this forum describing how to set up the IC-705.? I have also used the terminal output to display text on a dumb terminal program. Baud rate is 19200 only for this purpose.

After learning how to store memories. it is pretty much type and go. You will get more help if you can be a bit specific as to your problems.

BTW the decoder is excellent.
