Sad to report that WB7DDH Raymond Searcy passed away this afternoon with his family by his side at the?age of 90. According to K-Bar-A history he donated?$100 towards the purchase of a new GE 2 Meter repeater for Hamaker in 1978.
Raymond's Grandson is WRJY779 Forest who is on the Klamath Falls GMRS repeater. His Grandfather was a Freight Train worker. As he rolled around?the USA in the Caboose, he ran a HF rig, would talk and CW all over the world as they rolled down the tracks. Forest got his Grandfather a GMRS radio so he could listen in, a couple?times would talk to his Great Grandchildren on the radio!
