Locked Unable to open JMRI Panel Pro 4.22 or 4.23.2 #4-22


 

I have downloaded both of these versions, and whilst they seem to load without problem I cannot open either version, I just get the opening splash. (Is that the right term?) I am running? version 4.20 without problem. I'm using Win10. Ihave 2PCs on Win 10 and a laptop on Win 7 pro, same on all 3.

After getting the load problem, paste the contents of the C:\Users\<username>\JMRI\log\session.log file.

Hi Dave ,

Thanks for your very quick reply. I can't get any further than the JMRI logo, It just sticks there. This goes for all 3 of my pcs/ laptop. 4.20 works perfectly.

Hopefully the session.log file will show what is happening.

I don't think I made myself clear. It all seems to load without a problem. I just can't get past the Logo., so I can't send anything. Mike.

As I have removed 4.22 from all of my machines I'm not able to do that at present. I'm at this moment reloading a win 10 machine with 4.22. I will get back to you asap. In the meantime your efforts to help me are much appreciated.

I still have been unable to open 4.22 in the normal way, however I discovered that DecoderPro opened normally and I could open PanelPro from the dropdown menu. After some experimentation I now have 4.22 working, but I still can't open it from the desktop icon. I have attached a session log (now I've discovered how to do it!)

Mike,

That sounds like either the profile configuration or something in the user preference configuration is causing
the blow up. DecoderPro launches with a different set of some things so it wasn't affected.

I would also suspect that if you created a whole new profile, it would let you use either DecoderPro or
PanelPro for launching as that would be a totally clean set of configuration values. That would get you around
the issue while it is figured out what is happening.
