I asked the very same question of Steve Davis on his KCS 3rd Sub.?
He runs his PanelPro in real time.
He doesn't have a transportation manager per se.
I suspect as owner, he quietly fills that job.
?
I have a very small, three operator layout.
I envision something like Robert's Forwarder program for my ops session.
That would be build and terminate each train in the session and then print the manifests.
In a three hour session, I plan yardmaster/turn engineer to build and run two turns.
Each of the fiddle yard operators will handle SOs to customers from two turn visits.
Each operator will handle PUs from customers and leave the string for two return visits.
I would build and terminate each train ahead of time and print the lists for hand out to operators.
?
It defeats the "real time" OperationsPro aspect and no chance to correct in session corrections.
But, it maps out the entire sesssion.
Does that make sense?
