Have replaced the #2016 battery. Prised up the 4 removable chips, lightly used CRC-26 contact cleaner and re-seated the chips.
Uninstalled Java and re-installed Java 17 along with JMRI 5.10.
Checked all other plug and wire connections.
Layout and command centre appears fine and all running OK - and can control locos via the CS.
Also checked that the USB port is correct. I only have two and have tried switching then around.
But when DeoderPro opens and the roaster page appears the ops and program options in lower left-hand corner are still in red.
Also, when I go to Actions, I notice that the Power Control option is not highlighted.
The serial adaptor cable has previously worked, so I'm loath to attempt any re-wiring of this - just can't identify what has caused this mal-function when all was previously working OK!!!
