Locked Re: Dispatcher and setting turnouts

Jos,

The current configuration has four blocks that include track segments assigned to the four crossover connections. ?That means there are four segments that share a single turnout address "pin30/31 #1-Crossing".?

For example, a train is running from E-Outer to S-Inner with the crossover thrown. ?Another train needs to allocate E-Inner heading towards S-Inner. ?The allocation occurs since there are no apparent conflicts and the crossover is closed.

The solution is to have separate blocks and sections for each straight route, such as X-Inner and X-Outer. ?This way the first train is using E-Outer, X-Outer, X-Inner and S-Inner. ?The second train can allocate E-Inner but has to wait to allocate X-Inner and close the turnout.

I am using Dispatcher to run two trains simultaneously which in general works quite well.
My layout has one double crossover that sometimes causes problems like when?one train is on the crossing and the other train changes the crossing to a different position causing a derailment of the first train.
How can this be prevented?
