Dave,
Signal mast logic supports a single route between the source and destination mast based on the state of the turnouts between two masts.
If signal mast logics needs to support an alternate route, then a Repeater signal mast is linked to the destination mast and then signal mast logic is manually created between the source mast and the repeater mast.

Dave Sand, if I’m reading your description right, SML does not support interlockings with multiple paths between an entry and an exit? Maybe I’m not reading it right.
